Chocolate Glaze

This is such a simple recipe! It can be whipped up in no time, and adds a rich pop of deep chocolate flavor. Use it anytime you want to drizzle a little chocolate glaze over...well, anything! It is especially good on Éclairs.


  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • ¼ cup cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract


  1. Sift or whisk confectioner’s sugar and cocoa1.
  2. Melt butter in a small saucepan, and whisk in sugar/cocoa mix.
  3. Add enough milk to make glaze pourable2.
  4. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract.

Gluten Free Pro Tips

  1. Sifting is not necessary if you're in a hurry, but will help prevent the formation of lumps.
  2. Test by placing some on a spoon and drizzling back into the pan. Glaze will become less pourable as it cools.
